Financials

Terry moved money from checking into savings. Need to put money into higher yielding investments, but needs the bylaws changed to allow that.

Section Meetings  

Mar 22   NUMMI tour – Monday night at 4:30pm.  – no dinner- Only 5 people have signed up for the NUMMI tour so far.

Apr 21  SFSU Student section joint meeting with Dave Tateosian as speaker  on Combine cycle power generation.

May 12  BBQ Dinner with Jim Pinto as speaker at Norcal TECH 2004

May 19   Lunch meeting on Security Issues at PG&E in SF – info from Bob  Webb.

Training    

Controller Tuning Workshop – April 17 at CMA, 10 students max. by Stephan – FULL.

Control Valve Basics – Terry to teach a class in March – date TBD

CCST Review Class – March 6, 13, 20 with April 3 Exam by Bob H. Robbi J. and Stephan G. 7 persons for CCST and everyone is in place to train and test the personnel. The test date though has been cancelled from lack of sign-ups.

All classes to be held at CMA in Vallejo, CA.

Norcal ISA Palo Alto Meetings  

    Schedule for the year.

    Apr 13 – Controls Systems Security

    May 11 – Industrial Wireless Networking

    Jun 8 – Personal Experiences and Planning

ISA Norcal Tech 2004 – Conference and Exhibit

10 out of 30 booths left. Need to get them sold.

Technical sessions coming together  - has a couple still in the works. The foreign presenters may not happen.

Suzanne to follow up with Jim Pinto on logistics.

Do we really need lights for the tent for the bbq dinner and Jim Pinto’s talk?  Have dinner outside under the tent 5-6 and everyone into the auditorium for Jim’s talk 6:-7:30. Use on-site cafeteria for meals – lunches and dinners.

Bob H. and Terry to get together for a campus walkthrough to see where training can go.

Need to call all presenters and get information from them on their presentation, etc…

Golf Tournament

Has Brad made a decision on the location of the golf tourney?

2004-2005 Norcal Officers Elections

Discussed several potential officer candidates for the 2004-2005 year.  

Other business, comments, suggestions, ideas for improvement

Next agenda to discuss issues in LA meeting

Vote on $ next session to add to CLEP lobby efforts.

CMA would like to put together a Process Control curriculum. Need a task force to spend time to put together.

Need a quartermaster in the section to track Norcal ISA Assets. Terry currently has 3 tables belonging to the section that need storing. Bob H. to look into storing them at CMA.
