MARINE MAMMAL CENTER TOUR

Join us for the ISA NorCal Behind the Scenes Tour of the Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito.  Saturday, October 2nd at 2:00 PM.  The tour will last about two hours. There is no fee for the tour, but donations to the Center are encouraged.  The tour will emphasize the new control system that was installed to manage the water quality in the Center's animal care tanks.  Families are welcome at the Center, but the Behind the Scenes tour will involve going to areas that are not "kid safe" and will require climbing steep stairways (ship ladders).

The Marine Mammal Center is located on the Marin Headlands, west of Sausalito, which is part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.  You and your family can spend the day hiking and exploring the area before the tour in the afternoon. There are beaches, a lighthouse, and an historic Nike Missile base there.
