Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) Class - Advanced
Saturday, March 1, 2008 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM Cal Maritime Academy,
Vallejo
Sorry, this class did not get enough sign-ups to hold the class. Refunds will be made to anyone who paid.
This full-day seminar will provide the attendees with instruction in advanced functions using programmable logic controllers (PLC). The curriculum combines practical lectures with a hands-on classroom atmosphere.
Subjects covered in this course include:
* PID function
Attendees will receive hands-on training in programming PLC trainers using ladder logic to control common processes. Using custom built PLC trainers they will write control programs for sample processes using relay ladder logic, and download the program to a PLC. The PLC trainers provide a variety of inputs and outputs that can be manipulated to simulate many processes for development and testing purposes.
At the end of the course, the attendees should be able to:
* Create programs with analog inputs and outputs.
The cost for the class is $75 for ISA Members and $125 for Non-members. Non-members will have the option of applying $50 toward the $85 ISA annual membership fee. All non-members will be added to the NorCal ISA Transmitter newsletter mailing list for one year.
